When it comes to shopping for a mattress, one of the key things you’ll need to consider is whether you should opt for a foam mattress or a spring mattress.
For many people, traditional spring mattresses are what they grew up with, but it’s well worth considering quality foam mattresses like TEMPUR®, as they offer a number of advantages over spring mattresses.

Comfort & support
Many spring mattresses will provide uneven support across the sleep surface due to their design, and may even develop lumps and bumps over time due to their spring support systems. Memory foam on the other hand, is designed to absorb and redistribute pressure, ensuring you get the correct amount of support when you’re sleeping. Whilst there are some ‘hybrid’ mattresses out there made up of both foam and spring layers that will work on an adjustable base, it’s generally best to choose a memory foam mattress like TEMPUR®. TEMPUR® mattresses are flexible enough to be adjusted to any position, which means you can comfortably elevate them with an adjustable base so that you can sit up in bed, or sleep in healthy positions like the Zero-G position. Sleeping positions
TEMPUR® mattresses are ideal for most types of sleepers - side, stomach and back sleepers will all find they can get into a comfortable position on these mattresses, and with the help of an adjustable base you can even get into the Zero-G position! Spring mattresses, however, are usually recommended to back sleepers. Those who sleep on their side exert the most pressure on their joints and may be better off with the contouring support of a memory foam mattress. Stomach sleepers may also find that they benefit from the conformance of a memory foam mattress, although many are also fine on a softer spring mattress.
